In times of financial struggle and transition, WIM provides multiple services designed to minimize stresses by offering solutions as well as referrals that address immediate basic needs. WIM will act as onsite advisor for our clients, helping them to plan, restore and recover stability in their lives. WIM provides support services to clients who face unexpected crisis and have immediate needs. Our primary support is solution-based-counseling and referral that is intended to be short term and will help clients navigate community and governmental resources. The intent is to support the client’s efforts to resolve their problems, meet their needs and achieve self-sufficiency.
Typical referred services include: · Rental and utility assistance · Overnight shelter/permanent housing · Meal programs & food pantries · Basic necessity clothing · Medical, dental, optical and prescription services · Employment counseling
WIM also provides a number of services directly to our clients,
including: · Assistance obtaining or replacing identification and birth certificates · Passes for public transportation to essential appointments · Eviction and utility shut-off assistance counseling · Online job search and application · Budget counseling · LINK card application on premises |
